INDIA ❤️

Hey hey! Wow... it's been crazy hectic recently since I arrived in INDIA so this weeks post is a little late! Anyway, my adventure in Sri Lanka ended and I arrived to India. It still hasn't quite sunk in that I'm in India. It's been a week already and my experience has been INCREDIBLE.

So first I arrived to Chennai. I arrived super early in the morning so had a few hours to burn before heading to the hotel. I met a Chinese man, from Beijing, who struggled due to language barriers. It was honestly so amazing for me to help him, with the basic Chinese language speaking ability that I have, to exchange money, by him to his hotel and even help him book his train ticket to New Delhi at the station the next day. It's further inspired me to continue passionately with my Chinese learning. Being in India, I am genuinely inspired to learn Hindi. It's pretty similar to Punjabi so I sort of have a head start. Hearing the Hindi all around me has made me feel as if I'm in a Bollywood movie!

Towards the end of my trip in Sri Lanka I was lucky enough to meet an amazing Indian guy. He helped me out loads and put me in touch with his friend in Chennai; who helped me out so much! In the end, I ended up exploring Chennai evening life, food with him and his friends. The next day, I visited a village in Andhra Pradesh with a lovely man I'd met in the hotel. He was honorably building an orphanage out there. It was such an amazing, cultural experience to go to these rural parts of India.

After a day of strikes (which was pretty cool to experience real India) I was finally able to head to the coast, to Pondicherry. This was once a French ruled place with still existing French influence to this day, in architecture, vibe and food. It was a beautiful and interesting place to visit. Such a contrast to Chennai.

After two nice days there I took a night bus to Kochi in Kerala. This has been my favorite place so far in India. Such an artistic, relaxing, beautiful and lovely part of India. On my second day there I went to Alleppey to visit the backwaters. I rode the motorbike there with a Tuk tuk driver friend I made. It was beautiful. My whole trip in India so far has been so life changing.

After the most wonderful few days in Kerala,  my next destination (where I am now) was Bangalore. I've been staying in the  most chill and awesomely located hostel. Met some incredible people. It's so amazing to meet like minded people whilst traveling. I feel like I've met so many spiritual and creative people, especially here in India.

I feel so at peace and home here, whilst everyday being challenged and growing as a person. Traveling India is a completely different experience to anywhere else I've travelled. I feel so blessed to even have this opportunity to travel. The worker of a museum I went to in a Fort Kochi highlighted something amazing to me actually. That I'm so lucky to have a dual heritage and be able to discover India for myself. I'll cherish these words.

I'll be in touch!
