Back to "reality"!

So I’m finally back in Shanghai and getting back to “reality”. I think that the best thing about teaching English or working abroad, such as in China, is that whilst you travel during your time away, you are sort of not coming back to a harsh or dull reality, but a continued amazing adventure. I’m back in Shanghai but not sad at all. I’m reflecting on the most amazing, almost two-month, trip ever, and also buzzing to be back in China. I have about four months left and I can’t believe it. I plan to make the most of my time here, study Chinese, excel in my teaching, continue to travel and embrace the experience.

So, my last week in India was amazing. I had a relaxing two nights in Udaipur whereby I got some Indian suits made before heading to Agra. The Taj Mahal was breath-taking. It just so happened that my daytrip there fell on Valentine’s Day; which was a funny and nice coincidence. After visiting this beautiful monument, I headed to Delhi for a night before taking my long flight back to Shanghai, via Sri Lanka.

Overall, I had an amazing Chinese Spring Festival Holiday. I continued on my path of self-discovery. Not only do I discover myself, but the world and cultures around me. One thing I really want to try is YOGA; which India and the people I met in India, as well as things I learned about myself, inspired me towards trying.

Currently, I’m getting back into the swing of things. I’ve got lesson planning, writing, vlogging to do and a Chinese lesson in the morning! Back to my busy, Shanghai, city life. But, I truly am going to look into yoga and keeping spiritually relaxed; the way I mostly felt whilst I was in India.

I’ll be in touch next week about my first week back at work – TERM 2!
